Aqua Beetle Scuba Journeys Past & Present

It was very challenging but rewarding for her and many thanks goes to several members of The Dive Shop that helped to make this happen; Linda, Adrian, and Mikayla. But a huge thank you goes to Don George. We also meet many new friends; Carolyn, Bill, Pat and Anne, Erick, Zach, Carter, Mary, and Kayla. Nice dives at San Pedro Island and San Antonio Island.

The trip was led by Linda and Jorge. Miss Pam snorkeled and became more comfortable with being in the water. Mikayla was my dive partner and I am still getting to know my underwater camera. Lots of fun cleaning of Martini cove and tons more fun with the sea lions and huge turtle at San Pedro Island. 

Don, Mikayla, and Sam lead this trip and did a wonderful job. Due to weather, Saturday ended up being a challenging day. We aborted going to San Pedro Island for three dives with the sea lions due to sea state. But we made the best of it by going to Las Gringas for 2 dives then 1 at martini cove, tried to snorkel with Miss Pam but too many man of wars in water. Sunday was much improved weather wise and we had 2 very nice and fun dives at San Antonio. Miss Pam and I did get to snorkel briefly but conditions were not the greatest. We meet two very nice and enjoyable young ladies; Holly and Kristy, who were dive partners.  

For my 1st dive trip in over 30 years I was honored to have "The Dive Shop" Dive Master, Mikayla Miller as my dive partner on several of my dives. Miss Pam also accomplished 4 exciting Snorkeling events while I dove. The trip was organized by "The Dive Shop" in Tucson AZ and was Lead by PADI Instructor Kim Rafacz PADI and Dive Master Brian Rafacz (Now a Dive Instructor). Brian and Kim proved to be a powerful team both in and out of water and helped facilitate my accomplishing an additional PADI dive rating.  A big thanks goes out to all three Dive Shop Professionals.

Kevin Law also participated in the Dive Trip, took great photos, and escorted Miss Pam while snorkeling.

 I first learned to reef walk, snorkel, and Scuba dive in Okinawa Japan and my dive travels included; the Philippines, Guam, Truk Lagoon, Hawaii, Florida and Bahamas. Underwater photographer was challenging but fun using the Nikonos IVA Dive Camera and Flash System.
